Polar bear tracks are always found near the coasts. The bears search for food in the crevices of the sea ice when it is broken by the action of the tides.
The security that we carry is vital to be in this inhospitable and lonely place. We have several types of elements:
A perimeter alarm fence. This fence is composed of 4 flare launchers that are connected by a fishing line. If an animal passes by, it is activated and warns us of its presence.
Another system is a very powerful flashlight, the same pot and lid. These mentodos are to drive it away.
Other items kept in the store include pepper spray and two firearms.
One of the weapons carries rounds of non-lethal ammunition and the latter rounds lethal, which would be the last resort.
