At 2:57 on May 5, the Spanish team composed of the explorer Jose Trejo from Extremadura, the Murcian Francisco Mira (Quitin) and the Galician Sechu Lopez have managed to reach the Ross Magnetic North Pole, fulfilling the first objective of the Sea of Ice 2025 expedition after 29 days of expedition through the Northwest Passage, without external assistance, mechanical means and 0 emissions.
The expedition will follow the route to the finish in the Inuit village of Gjoa Haven. As well as their second objective, linking the Inuit villages of Resolute bay with Gjoa Haven along route number 4.
