Today in the morning at -20° we found the snow transformed, it hardened enough to make today's crossing more pleasant but only until noon. The temperature rose to a pleasant -15° and no wind. Up to this point we started "plowing" again with the soft, dry snow, how it slows us down! Hopefully tomorrow we will reach the last headland of this beautiful icy island and change our course to SSW to plot a direct course to the island of Tasmania, located west of the Boothia Peninsula.
