Date: May 9.
Distance covered: 21 km.
Means of transportation: Skis.
Total distance: 646 km.
We have surpassed the barrier of 500 km skied, finishing the day with another 21 km.
The day went from less to more due to the two days of wind and blizzard that we suffered. According to the weather, that wind would die down during the day, and it did, opening a shining sun. We could already see the strange islands of Tennent. These islands are barely visible from the ice floe as they are very flat and low in height despite their long size, about 60 km.
✨️En the photo so we celebrate having passed 500 km and very motivated because we only have about 90 km left to reach our longed for goal Gjoa Haven.
Thus we end with the fourth ephemeris of the project, the founding of the settlement of Gjoa Haven, in honor of the ship, the Gjoa, by the Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen.
Greetings to all.
