WE CROSSED THE BARROW STRAIT

Sometimes, the Arctic forces us to change course. Barrow Strait had us excited, but reality hit us hard. Wayne, our Resolute Bay weather expert (30 years here, he knows what he's talking about!), showed us a tough picture:

  • Impossible ice: A labyrinth of broken blocks and open sea that appears and disappears.
  • Without guides: We are looking for experienced guides, but no one dares to cross on foot.
With our hearts in our hands, we decided to fly with Kenn Borek Air Ltd. ✈️ And thank goodness for Fred! A great guy, responsible for charter flights here, who has given us a huge hand. When we land, we'll adjust the equipment and do some testing. Safety first, and while it pains us to change plans, it's the sensible thing to do. Thank you, Wayne, Fred and Kenn Borek Air ldt.
